Common use of Functions and Powers of the Depository Clause in Contracts

Functions and Powers of the Depository. In addition to its other functions under this Agreement, the Depository shall: (a) upon the request of any African State, arrange for signature of this Agreement; (b) pronounce this Agreement to have entered into force in relation to a new Member; (c) register this Agreement and any amendments thereto with the Secretariat of the United Nations in accordance with Article 102 of the Charter of the United Nations; and (d) notify all Members of the following: (i) signatures of this Agreement; (ii) deposits of instruments of ratification, accession and acceptance of this Agreement; (iii) any suspension or withdrawal of a Member from this Agreement and the Agency.
