Funding Source Limitations Clause Samples

The Funding Source Limitations clause restricts how funds provided under an agreement may be used, specifying the sources from which payments or reimbursements can be drawn. Typically, this clause outlines that only certain designated funds, such as grants, government appropriations, or specific budget lines, are available for fulfilling the financial obligations of the contract. By clearly defining these limitations, the clause helps prevent misuse of funds and ensures compliance with legal or regulatory requirements tied to particular funding sources.
Funding Source Limitations. In order to manage risk, PayPal may limit the Funding Sources available for a transaction. If we limit a Funding Source, we will alert you that there is a higher than normal level of risk associated with the payment (for example and without limitation, a risk that the payment may be challenged to be unauthorised). Such a notice does not mean that either party to the transaction is acting in a dishonest or fraudulent manner. It means there may be a higher than normal level of risk associated with the payment. Funding Sources may be limited also if you make a PayPal payment through certain third party websites or applications. For PayPal Business Payments, you are limited to funding your PayPal payment with your pre-existing Balance.
Funding Source Limitations. Company may limit the Funding Sources that will be available to you when funding your Account. The reason Company may set such limitation is to manage the potential risk that may arise from the payment transaction. Any such limitation will be communicated to you before the payment transaction is executed, at which time you will be asked to provide an alternative funding source (for example use of another e-wallet as opposed to a credit/debit card). Although Company may allow you to proceed with the funding source that presented the risk initially, such action will be taken with your consent and may lead to a limitation of your rights to dispute resolution (you may be unable to contest the transaction due to funding source restrictions).

  • Account Limitations Limitations are implemented to help protect PayPal, buyers and sellers when we notice restricted activities, an increased financial risk, or activity that appears to us as unusual or suspicious. Limitations also help us collect information necessary for keeping your PayPal account open. There are several reasons why your PayPal account could be limited, including: • If we suspect someone could be using your PayPal account without your knowledge, we’ll limit it for your protection and look into the fraudulent activity. • If your debit or credit card issuer alerts us that someone has used your card without your permission. Similarly, if your bank lets us know that there have been unauthorized transfers between your PayPal account and your bank account. • In order to comply with applicable law. • If we believe in our sole discretion that you have breached this agreement or violated the Acceptable Use Policy. • Seller performance indicating your PayPal account is high risk. Examples include: indications of poor selling performance because you’ve received an unusually high number of claims and chargebacks, selling an entirely new or high-cost product type, or if your typical sales volume increases rapidly. Unless a permanent limitation is placed on your account, you will need to resolve any issues with your account before a limitation can be removed. Normally, this is done after you provide us with the information we request. However, if we reasonably believe a risk still exists after you have provided us that information, we may take action to protect PayPal, our users, a third party, or you from reversals, fees, fines, penalties, legal and/or regulatory risks and any other liability.
