Common use of Future Considerations Clause in Contracts

Future Considerations. Recent national consultations on a variety of community safety related topics may lead to future changes in legislation or statutory guidance. The Government is currently undertaking a Victims Bill consultation which aims to build on the foundations provided by the Victims Code to improve victims’ experiences within the criminal justice system. Some of the areas being looked at include community based support services and advocacy support. The Government has also been consulting on a proposed new Protect Duty, as a result of terror attacks in public spaces, such as happened at the Manchester Arena and other smaller scale attacks; with the aim to consider security measures at publicly accessible locations and the support needed from Government. In addition, following the introduction of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 the Government has sought views on draft Domestic Abuse Statutory Guidance to support the implementation of the Act with guidance and support to frontline professionals and sharing of best practice.
