Gap Analysis. The gap analysis aimed to identify the populations with significant deficiencies in their monitoring to estimate their population sizes and/or trends reliably. It builds on a number of information sources including the following: • BirdLife International’s country checklists which can be accessed through the Data table and detailed info tabs of the species factsheets on the Data Zone of BirdLife International; • BirdLife International’s species range maps6; • The population boundaries maintained by Wetlands International and available through the Critical Sites Network Tool 2.0;
