Common use of General Definition Clause in Contracts

General Definition. (a) Seniority shall mean an employee's length of service with the Company, and shall accumulate from the first day worked, but shall not come into force until a probationary period of four hundred (400) hours has been worked. New employees will undergo core health and safety training and workplace specific orientation during their first eighty (80) hours of work. (b) A member of the joint health and safety committee who is designated by the Union shall be permitted to meet for one hour with new employee(s) within five (5) working days following the employee’s health and safety training.

General Definition.
