Common use of General Interpretive Rules Clause in Contracts

General Interpretive Rules. (a) All terms of an accounting nature not specifically defined herein shall have the meanings ascribed thereto by GAAP. (b) The terms accounts, chattel paper, contract rights, documents, equipment, instruments, general intangibles, inventory, goods, letter-of-credit rights, supporting obligation, deposit account, and proceeds, as and when used in this Agreement or the Security Documents (without being capitalized), shall have the meanings given those terms in the UCC. (c) Unless otherwise specified, the words "hereof," "herein," "hereunder" and words of similar import, when used in this Agreement, refer to this Agreement as a whole and not to any particular provision, section or subsection of this Agreement.
