Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or GAAP Clause Samples

The 'Generally Accepted Accounting Principles' (GAAP) clause defines the set of standard accounting rules and procedures that must be followed when preparing and presenting financial statements under the agreement. This clause ensures that all financial information, such as balance sheets, income statements, and other reports, are prepared consistently and in accordance with recognized accounting standards. By requiring adherence to GAAP, the clause promotes transparency, comparability, and reliability in financial reporting, thereby reducing the risk of misunderstandings or disputes over financial data.
