Generator Disconnect Switch. 5.6.1 A generator disconnect switch shall be constructed which is capable of isolating the generator from both the QE’s load and utility main supply. This switch shall be configured such that its opening does not affect QE from receiving electricity from JPS for its local consumption. This switch shall be opened and locked for certain reasons but not limited to (a) power quality issues, (b) interruption of supply from the QF in accordance with Clause 8.0, (c) termination of contract and (d) any other justifiable causes.
