Golden Handshake. Kelseyville Unified School District shall implement the “Golden Handshake.” AB 1207, Chapter 13, Education Code sections 22714, 44929, and 87488 to extend the Golden Handshake enhanced benefit program which provides that an additional two years of service credit will be granted when all requirements have been met by the employer and the employee. 1. During the school year, the board will open a window period lasting 60 days. If it is in the best interest of the district, the board of trustees may open additional window periods.
