GPL Software Clause Samples

The GPL Software clause defines the terms under which software licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) is used or incorporated within a project or agreement. It typically clarifies that any software governed by the GPL must remain open source, and any derivative works or distributions must also comply with the GPL’s requirements, such as providing source code and maintaining the same licensing terms. This clause ensures that all parties are aware of the obligations and restrictions associated with GPL-licensed software, thereby preventing inadvertent license violations and ensuring legal compliance.
