Common use of Grant and Term Clause in Contracts

Grant and Term. 2.1 On the terms and conditions of this Agreement, including the conditions specified in Schedule ‘A’, we grant you a licence for you, and your employees, invitees, agents, consultants, Financing Entities, and contractors and their subcontractors to occupy the Land only for the purposes of construction, maintenance and use of the Roads, and you acknowledge this licence of occupation does not grant you exclusive use and occupancy of the Land. 2.2 Subject to conditions of the approval and Article 8, this Agreement is effective as of the date of execution and the Term shall commence on the Commencement Date and terminates on the date you notify the Commission in writing that you no longer require the Land for the purpose identified in section 2.1 2.3 Except as permitted by law or as otherwise permitted pursuant to this Agreement, you will not restrict, or permit the restriction of, the use of the Land or any Roads thereon to a defined or limited group of persons, it being the intention of the parties that such services and facilities will be available for use by all members of the public.
