GRIEVANCE AND ARBITRATION PROCEDURE. 8.01 The parties to this Agreement believe that it is important to respond to complaints and grievances as quickly as possible as provided for herein. The employee or Union shall first discuss any individual complaint informally with the Manager promptly following the issue giving rise to the complaint. 8.02 Should any dispute arise between the Employer and an employee, or between the Employer and the Union, or between the employer and a group of employees who have identical grievances, as to the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of any of the provisions of this Agreement, such dispute shall be brought to the attention of the other party as a complaint within fourteen (14) calendar days or when the employee ought to have reasonably become aware of the issue giving rise to the complaint/grievance. Grievance transmittals shall take place between the bargaining unit representative designated by the Bargaining Unit President and the position designated by the Employer. It is understood that the Union has carriage of all grievances. Grievances shall be on the form set out in Appendix 1.
