Common use of GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE - GENERAL Clause in Contracts

GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE - GENERAL. 15.01 It is the desire of the parties to this Agreement that complaints or grievances be settled as promptly as possible. This Article is to provide for the prompt handling of such matters as alleged misinterpretation or violation of the Agreement, or other causes for complaint, but excluding appeals from disciplinary action or discharge which are provided for in Article 16. 15.02 When an employee believes that he/she has been unjustly dealt with or that any provision of the Agreement has been violated, he/she shall first attempt to settle the matter with his/her Supervisor. The employee may take this action on his/her own or accompanied by a ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. Alternately, the employee may elect to have his/her ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ handle the matter on his/her behalf with the Supervisor.
