Common use of Guarantee Engineer Clause in Contracts

Guarantee Engineer. During any time of the guarantee period the CONTRACTOR shall have the option, at its own cost, to place on board one or two Guarantee Engineers who shall act as CONTRACTOR's observers and to whom every assistance shall be granted for the fulfillment of their tasks. Should this option be exercised then such Guarantee Engineers shall not be discharged without the CONTRACTOR's approval. The PURCHASER shall ensure the said Engineers a status on board not inferior to that due to the Chief Engineer. In the event that Guarantee Engineers will address non-warranty defects, then the CONTRACTOR shall be pay a remuneration to be agreed upon.
