Head Space Air Sample Clauses
The "Head Space Air" clause defines the minimum volume of air that must be maintained above the liquid level in a storage tank or container. This requirement ensures that there is sufficient space to accommodate thermal expansion of the liquid, prevent overfilling, and allow for safe venting of vapors. For example, a contract might specify that a tank must always have at least 10% of its total capacity as head space air. The core function of this clause is to promote safety and operational efficiency by reducing the risk of spills, overpressure, or other hazards associated with completely filled containers.
