Common use of Heat Detectors Clause in Contracts

Heat Detectors. a. Visually inspect for damage b. Clean to remove any dirt, dust and/or deposits or replace with a backup detector, which has previously been cleaned c. Test for proper operation by increasing the temperature on rate of rise type detectors. (15 degrees per minute) or test wiring on fixed temperature detectors by shorting across the terminals d. Test for trouble reporting by removing a detector wire from circuit (at the device, not the panel). e. Test for proper zone annunciation f. Test for proper operation in trouble condition
