Herbicide Application Clause Samples
Herbicide Application. When needed and where there is no feasible alternative to herbicide treatment, ORGANIZATION NAME will use agents and application procedures with the greatest target specificity and lowest toxicity.
Herbicide Application. Apply herbicides to unwanted vegetation in compliance with all herbicide application requirements as set forth by the California Department of Pesticide Regulations (CA DPR), Environmental Protective Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) label, the Material Safety Data Sheet, and the site specific HMMP. Herbicides will be applied by a spot spray application direct application must be done in a way to preserve and protect native habitat. Contractor shall, throughout the length of the Contract, provide all personnel, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, qualified supervision and other items and services necessary to perform herbicide applications. Herbicide solutions include the following:
1. Aquatic Registered Glyphosate with Aquatic Adjuvant; 2-4 quarts/50 gallons of water 2. 2,4D with Adjuvant; Minimum 2 quarts/50 gallons of water
Herbicide Application i. Within the Watershed, no aerial spray will be conducted within 1 mile of any legal and/or designated intake or water impoundment.
ii. All live streams within the Watershed will be buffered a minimum of 50’.
iii. HFM and the City will share the cost of water sampling to test for herbicides in the reservoir; samples will be collected according to the protocol set in Attachment 2.
Herbicide Application. Where chemical control of non-native vegetation is deemed necessary within the bed, bank, or channel of the stream and there is a possibility that the herbicides could come into contact with water, Permittee shall employ only those herbicides that are approved for aquatic use. If surfactants are required, they shall be restricted to non-ionic chemicals that are approved for aquatic use. Nothing in this Agreement represents an herbicide use recommendation that allows for an action that conflicts with pesticide use regulations. All herbicide use conditions for mixing, application, and clean-up shall conform to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Any application of herbicide shall be done by a licensed or certified applicator in accordance with all applicable, federal, state, and local regulations. Herbicides shall be used only for selective treatment of non- native vegetation identified as invasive by California Invasive Plant Council (Cal- IPC). The current Cal-IPC Inventory of vegetation identified as invasive or at high risk of becoming invasive can be found at: ▇▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇- ▇▇▇.▇▇▇/▇▇▇▇▇▇/▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇/. Herbicide use to kill native vegetation is prohibited. No herbicides shall be used where Threatened or Endangered species occur. No herbicides shall be used when wind velocities are above five (5) miles per hour or when nesting birds could be exposed.
Herbicide Application. In addition to the ad hoc and selective use of herbicide on most grass cutting areas, there are specific areas on the airside managed by herbicide only. These areas are known as the Concrete areas. They consist of large concrete slabs with expansion grooves prone to unwanted vegetation growth. These areas must be spot treated with a non-selective herbicide to ensure that they are kept free from vegetation at all times. The service will be required on a monthly basis, 12 cycles per annum or as deemed necessary. Conditions of handling herbicide According to the legislation a registered Pest Control Operator must be present at the site of application. “Any person who for reward OR in the course of a business, industry or trade uses an agricultural remedy must register as a Pest Control Operator in terms of the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Suitable absorbent material such as fine dry sand/soil and cleaning equipment must be available to handle accidental spillage, In the case of spillage, the spill must be contained immediately and cleaned up with absorbent material. The contaminated material should then be disposed of at an ACSA approved dump site. Spray mixtures must be kept in leak-proof, non-spill containers. Containers must stand on suitable absorbent material, e.g. a large piece of Hessian sack that will absorb minor drips, out of direct sunlight in a cool place. Containers must be kept at least 20m away from water bodies. The area where the containers are kept in the field must be clearly demarcated. Filling sites should be selected to prevent damage to desirable vegetation and to enable spillage to be cleaned up and disposed of. Application equipment and containers should not be cleaned on site but at a suitable designated area. Product, spray mixtures and equipment must not be left unattended where there is a danger of theft or abuse Due regard must be paid at all times to the health and safety of the public Public should be kept out of operational areas where any hazards exist. Warning notices must be displayed to this affect where necessary. Herbicides must only be applied strictly according to label recommendations. Vegetation control operation will be carried out in a riparian situation which is regarded as environmentally sensitive. In order to minimise the impact of the operation on the natural environment the following must be observed: Area contamination must be minimised by careful and accurate application with a min...
Herbicide Application. The Permittee shall only apply herbicides in accordance with state and federal law. No herbicides shall be used where Threatened or Endangered species occur. Foliar application of herbicides shall not be used when wind velocities are above 5 miles per hour or when nesting birds could be exposed. Wick or ▇▇▇▇ herbicide application methods may be used if the wind velocities exceed 5 miles per hour. Only products that are labeled safe for aquatic use may be used for this Project.
Herbicide Application. 32.4.1. The application of an approved herbicide to control weed growth is not a specified requirement. The Contractor may use any suitable method of weed control to maintain shrub beds in a weed free condition but, should the Contractor choose to meet the requirements by herbicide application, the Specification for Weed and Pest Control must be complied with.
Herbicide Application. To minimize the need for re-treatment, foliar herbicide application should not occur when rain is anticipated within four hours at the treatment site. • For cut surface treatments, herbicide should be applied at concentrations equal to or less than 50 percent of the maximum concentration permitted by the label, through proper application technique and timing. • To minimize the need for retreatment, glyphosate should be applied to the cut ▇▇▇▇▇ immediately (within 1 hour) following cutting of the stem during cut ▇▇▇▇▇ treatment. Typical and maximum application rates for glyphosate. Application Treat/Control Invasive Species Manual – ground (backpack) 2.0 (4.0) Cut surface 1.0 (2.0) • Percent solution for foliar spraying of shrubs should be between 1 ½ and 2% percent or in such concentration as to effectively control target species, however, concentrations shall not exceed maximum active ingredient per acre and/or labeled rates(whichever one is less). • Non-ionic surfactant should be applied with foliar treatments, per manufacturer’s recommendations (generally ½ percent solution by volume).
Herbicide Application. 1. The contractor shall provide and apply herbicide under supervision of a Professional Applicator licensed to apply pesticides in a forested environment.
2. Handlers and workers shall have pesticide safety training as required by the Federal Worker Protection Standard Act.
3. Seedlings shall be shielded during spraying and until the spray settles. Care must be taken to avoid brushing desirable seedlings with the containers used as ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.
4. A Meter-Jet calibrating spray attachment or similar method shall be used to treat an area at least 5’ in diameter with a tank mix of the prescribed herbicide(s), water, surfactant and dye. This is achieved with the spray nozzle held at least 5 feet above the ground. Holding the nozzle lower would increase the rate applied per unit area and damage seedlings.
Herbicide Application. 5.01 The Council shall apply herbicide as described in Paragraphs 5.02 – 5.09
5.02 The Association will issue work instructions to apply a suitable herbicide to scheduled communal hard surfaces, roads and footpaths. This will be carried out at two occasions per year between the months of May and September.
5.03 All herbicides and fungicides are to be used and stored in accordance with legislation arising from the Food and Environment ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, and the COSHH regulations.
