Higher Class Pay. Any member requested to assume and who assumes the duties of a member in a higher classification will be paid at his/her step of the higher classification salary schedule after working in the position for five (5) consecutive days. The member will receive the higher classification pay back to the first day of such assumption of duties after working this five-day period. The member will return to his/her regular rate of pay upon his/her return to their original job.
