HOSPICE PROGRAM. Hospice is a coordinated program of home and inpatient care that provides non-curative medical and support services for persons certified by a physician to be terminally ill with a life expectancy of six (6) months or less. Hospice programs provide patients and families with palliative and supportive care to meet the special needs arising out of physical, psychological, spiritual, social and economic stresses which are experienced during the final stages of illness and during dying and bereavement.
