Common use of Hours Between Shifts Clause in Contracts

Hours Between Shifts. Except in cases of emergency, (and as otherwise provided in Article 8, Section 7) employees normally shall not be required to return to work within twelve (12) hours following the end of the employee’s regularly scheduled prior shift, except during any shift change which shall not occur more than once every calendar month. Otherwise, time and one-half will be paid for all hours worked within the twelve (12) hour period. By written agreement, employees may waive the twelve (12) hour requirement.
