Hours of Service Length of School Year. Section 1. Employees working six (6) or more hours per day shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break in the morning and a fifteen (15) minute break in the afternoon, or one 30-minute break at a time determined by the supervisor, with the morning break beginning no sooner than one and a half hours (1.5) after the start of the student contact day. Employees working at least four (4) hours, but less than six (6) hours shall receive one 15-minute break, at a time determined by the supervisor with no break beginning sooner than one and a half hours (1.5) after the start of the student contact day.
