Hurricanes/Other Emergencies Sample Clauses

The Hurricanes/Other Emergencies clause defines how contractual obligations are affected when hurricanes or other emergency situations occur. Typically, this clause outlines procedures for suspending, delaying, or modifying performance requirements if such events make it unsafe or impossible to proceed as planned. For example, it may allow for extensions of deadlines or temporary work stoppages during a declared emergency. Its core function is to allocate risk and provide clarity on the parties’ responsibilities during unforeseen natural disasters or emergencies, ensuring that neither party is unfairly penalized for circumstances beyond their control.
