Illness During. Where an employee qualifies for sick leave, with pay, during his period of vacation, there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence. The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation period or reinstated for use at a later date, by mutual agreement. Employees will be expected to provide proof of illness during vacations by way of a letter from a doctor.
Illness During. Where an employee is sick or injured on a rostered day or shift off the employee shall not be entitled to sick pay for such day and nor shall the employee's sick pay entitlement be reduced as a result of the employee's sickness or injury on that day.

Local Sick leave means the period of time an employee is permitted to be absent from work, with or without pay, by virtue of sickness, unavoidable quarantine or accident, for which compensation is not payable under the Workers’ Compensation Act.
Illness During annual leave when the illness exceeds one week, and is covered by a medical certificate will be regarded as sick leave and an equivalent number of days are to be added to the annual leave.
Illness During annual or long service leave (a) WaterNSW will re-credit annual leave or long service leave to an employee who is ill or injured whilst on annual or long service leave where the employee: (i) for the re-credit of annual leave, produces satisfactory medical evidence outlining the period of illness or injury; (ii) for the re-credit of long service leave, produces satisfactory medical evidence outlining the period of illness or injury and the period stated in the medical evidence is 5 working days or more; and (iii) has a sufficient personal leave balance from which to debit the period of illness or injury. (b) Paid personal/carers leave will not be granted during a period of unpaid leave.

Illness During. Vacation time lost due to illness or injury may be charged to sick leave subject to the rules governing sick leave.

  • Illness During Vacation Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to serious illness, which either commenced prior to or during the scheduled vacation period, the period of such illness shall be considered sick leave. Serious illness is defined as an illness which requires the employee to receive on-going medical care and/or treatments resulting in either hospitalization or which would confine the employee to their residence or to bed rest for more than three days. The portion of the employee's vacation which is deemed to be sick leave under the above provisions will not be counted against the employee's vacation credits.

  • Bereavement During Vacation Where an employee's scheduled vacation is interrupted due to a bereavement, the employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with Article 12.

  • Refund During Cooling-Off Period The PEI will provide the Student with a cooling-off period of seven (7) working days after the date that the Contract has been signed by both parties. The Student will be refunded the highest percentage (stated in Schedule D) of the fees already paid if the Student submits a written notice of withdrawal to the PEI within the cooling-off period, regardless of whether the Student has started the course or not.

  • Union Activity During Working Hours Solicitation of Union membership or collection or checking of dues will not be conducted during working time. The Company agrees not to discriminate in any way against any employee for Union activity, but such activity shall not be carried on during working time, except as specifically allowed by the provisions of this Agreement.
