INACTIVITY POLICY Clause Samples

An Inactivity Policy clause defines the rules and consequences related to periods of non-use or inactivity by a party, typically in the context of an account, service, or membership. This clause usually specifies the length of time that constitutes inactivity, such as 6 or 12 months without logging in or making transactions, and outlines actions the provider may take, such as suspending, deactivating, or closing the account. Its core practical function is to manage dormant accounts, reduce security risks, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently by addressing prolonged periods of user inactivity.
