Common use of Increase Date Clause in Contracts

Increase Date. When the original appointment, promotion, or other significant personnel action has occurred between the first and the fifteenth of a month, the step increase date will be the first of the month. When the original appointment, promotion, or other significant personnel action has occurred between the sixteenth and the end of the month, the step increase date shall be the first of the following month. When an employee is granted nonpaid leave of absence of 50 percent or more of the regularly scheduled working hours in a calendar month, the employee will not earn credit for said month. The date of salary progression shall be adjusted accordingly.
