Informal Grievance Procedure. Every effort shall be made to resolve a grievance through discussion between the grievant and the immediate supervisor. If, after such discussion, the grievant believes that the grievance has not been satisfactorily resolved, he or she shall have the right to discuss the matter with the department head.

Informal Grievance Procedure. Every effort shall be made to resolve a grievance as near as possible to the point of origin through discussion between the grievant employee and the his/her immediate supervisor. If, after such discussion, the grievant believes employee does not feel that the grievance has not been satisfactorily resolved, he or he/she shall have the right to discuss the matter with the department headsupervisor's superior, if any, within the organization. Otherwise, the employee shall have the right to discuss the matter with the Chief of Police.
