Information Society Sample Clauses
Information Society. The Parties shall exchange views on their respective policies and regulations in the area of information and communications technologies to enhance cooperation on key issues, including:
(a) electronic communications, including internet governance and online safety and security;
(b) interconnection of research network, including in a regional context;
(c) promotion of research and innovation activities; and
(d) standardisation and dissemination of new technologies.
Information Society. The Parties, recognising that information and communication technologies are key elements of modern life and of vital importance to economic and social development, shall endeavour to cooperate, and such cooperation shall, inter alia, focus on:
(a) facilitating comprehensive dialogue on the different aspects of the Information Society, in particular electronic communications policies and regulation including universal service, licensing and general authorisations, protection of privacy and personal data, and the independence and efficiency of the regulatory authority;
(b) interconnection and interoperability of Community, Indonesian and Southeast Asian networks and services;
(c) standardisation and dissemination of new information and communications technologies;
(d) promotion of research cooperation between the Community and Indonesia in the area of Information and Communication Technologies;
(e) joint research projects in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT);
(f) security issues/aspects of ICT.
Information Society. 1. Recognising that information and communication technologies (ICT) are key elements of modern life and are of vital importance to economic and social development, the Parties endeavour to coordinate their respective policies in this field with a view to promoting economic development.
2. Cooperation in this area shall focus in particular on:
(a) participation in the comprehensive regional dialogue on the different aspects of the information society, in particular electronic communications policies and regulatory best practices in areas including but not limited to the licensing of telecommunication services; the treatment of new information communication services such as Voice over Internet Protocol services; the elimination of spam; the management of dominant carrier conduct, and increasing the transparency and efficiency of the regulatory authority;
(b) interconnection and interoperability of the Parties' networks and services;
(c) standardisation and dissemination of new information and communications technologies;
(d) promotion of research cooperation between the Parties in the area of ICT;
(e) cooperation on joint research projects in the area of ICT;
(f) security aspects of information society, as mutually agreed upon; and
(g) conformity assessment of telecommunications (including radio) equipment.
Information Society. The Parties agree to strengthen cooperation with the objective of further developing the Information Society in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. Global objectives will be preparing society as a whole for the digital age, attracting investments and interoperability of networks and services. The authorities of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, with the assistance of the Community, will review carefully any political commitment undertaken in the European Union with the objective of aligning its own policies on those of the Union. The authorities of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia will establish a plan for the adoption of Community legislation in the area of the Information Society.
Information Society. The Parties shall strengthen cooperation on the development of the Information Society to benefit citizens and busi nesses through the widespread availability of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and through better quality of services at affordable prices. That cooperation should aim at facilitating access to electronic communications markets, encouraging competition and investment in the sector, and promoting the development of public services online.
Information Society. Cooperation shall be developed in all areas related to the Community acquis regarding the information society. It shall mainly support Serbia's gradual alignment of policies and legislation in this sector with those of the Community. The Parties shall also cooperate with a view to further developing the Information Society in Serbia Global objectives will be preparing society as a whole for the digital age, attracting investments and ensuring the interoperability of networks and services.
Information Society. 1. Recognising that information and communications technologies (“ICT”) are key elements of modern life and of vital importance to economic and social development, the Parties endeavour to exchange views on their respective policies in this field with a view to promoting economic development.
2. Cooperation in this area may, inter alia, focus on:
(a) the participation in dialogue on the different aspects of the information society, in particular electronic communications policies and regulations including universal service, licensing and general authorisations, protection of personal data, and the independence and efficiency of the regulatory authorities;
(b) the sharing of information on interconnection and interoperability of the Parties’ networks and services;
(c) the sharing of information on standardisation, conformity assessment and dissemination of information on ICT;
(d) the promotion of research cooperation between the Parties in the area of information and communication technologies;
(e) cooperation on digital television, including the exchange of experiences on deployment, regulatory aspects and the sharing of best practices in spectrum management;
(f) security aspects of ICT, as well as the fight against cyber-crime.
Information Society. Cooperation shall primarily focus on priority areas related to the Community acquis regarding the information society. It shall mainly support Bosnia and Herzegovina's gradual alignment of its policies and legislation in this sector with those of the Community. The Parties shall also cooperate with a view to further developing the Information Society in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Global objectives will include preparing society as a whole for the digital age, attracting investments and ensuring the interoperability of networks and services.
Information Society. 1. The Parties agree that information and communication technologies are key sectors in a modern society and are of vital importance to economic and social development and the smooth transition to the information society. Co-operation in this field shall help to establish a sound regulatory and technological framework, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ the development of these technologies, and develop policies that will help to reduce the digital divide and to develop human capacities, provide equitable and inclusive access to information technologies, and maximize the use of these technologies to provide services. In this regard, co-operation shall also support the implementation of these policies and help to improve interoperability of electronic communication services.
2. Co-operation in this area shall aim to promote:
(a) dialogue and exchange of experiences on regulatory and policy issues related to the information society, including the use of information and communication technologies such as e-government, e-learning and e-health, and policies aimed at narrowing the digital divide;
(b) exchange of experiences and best practices regarding the development and implementation of e-government applications;
(c) dialogue and exchange of experiences on the development of e-commerce, and digital signature and teleworking;
(d) exchanges of information on standards, conformity assessment and type- approval;
(e) joint research and development projects on information and communication technologies;
(f) development of Academic Advanced Network usage, that is, seeking long term solutions to ensure the self- sustainability of REDClara.
Information Society. 1. The Parties agree that information and communication technologies are key sectors in a modern society and are of vital importance to economic and social development and the smooth transition to the information society. Cooperation in this field shall help to establish a sound regulatory and technological framework, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ the development of these technologies, and develop policies that will help to reduce the digital divide and to develop human capacities, provide equitable and inclusive access to information technologies, and maximize the use of these technologies to provide services. In this regard, cooperation shall also support the implementation of these policies and help to improve interoperability of electronic communication services.
2. Cooperation in this area shall aim to promote:
(a) dialogue and exchange of experiences on regulatory and policy issues related to the information society, including the use of information and communication technologies such as e-government, e-learning and e-health, and policies aimed at narrowing the digital divide;
(b) exchange of experiences and best practices regarding the development and implementation of e-government applications;
(c) dialogue and exchange of experiences on the development of e-commerce, and digital signature and teleworking;
(d) exchanges of information on standards, conformity assessment and type-approval;
(e) joint research and development projects on information and communication technologies;
(f) development of Academic Advanced Network usage, that is, seeking long term solutions to ensure the self-sustainability of REDClara.
