Common use of Initial Discussion Clause in Contracts

Initial Discussion. Any employee with an issue regarding the application of this Collective Agreement must discuss it with their supervisor, or designate in the supervisor’s absence, with the goal of resolving it. A request for discussion must be made in writing. If discussion between the employee and their supervisor does not resolve the issue, the Union may file a grievance.
