Common use of Initial Occupancy Clause in Contracts

Initial Occupancy. If the apartment is not ready for occupancy on the date this lease begins, your rent will not begin until we notify you that the apartment is ready for occupancy. We are not liable for any damages or inconvenience suffered by you because of a delay in the occupancy date. It is your responsibility to insure that utilities servicing your apartment are put in your name as of the lease effective date.
