Inspector’s Duties. All Work shall be under the observation of or with the knowledge of the Inspector. The Inspector shall have free access to any or all parts of the Work at any time. The Contractor shall furnish the Inspector such information as may be necessary to keep the Inspector fully informed regarding progress and manner of work and character of materials. Such observations shall not, in any way, relieve the Contractor from responsibility for full compliance with all terms and conditions of the Contract, or be construed to lessen to any degree the Contractor’s responsibility for providing efficient and capable superintendence. The Inspector is not authorized to make changes in the drawings or specifications nor shall the Inspector’s approval of the Work and methods relieve the Contractor of responsibility for the correction of subsequently discovered defects, or from its obligation to comply with the Contract Documents.
