Common use of Installation, Inspection and Testing Clause in Contracts

Installation, Inspection and Testing. The Contractor shall prepare installation, inspection and test quality control procedures (QCP’s) and submit these procedures to the Project Manager for acceptance ten working days prior to installation. Quality and testing Acceptance criteria shall be included in these procedures. The Project Manager is free to specify hold and witness points during the installation, inspection and testing of silica and sodium analysers and associated equipment’s. The Contractor shall issue preliminary notification of such hold and witness points by ten working day advance notice to the Project Manager or his delegate, and confirm such hold and witness points at least five working days prior to the activity. Should the Employer’s Representative or its Inspection Authorities not witness the test, the work shall resume the day after the test date without prejudice to the Contractor. The Contractor shall install, inspect and test all equipment’s within his scope of supply and any other items/equipment the Employer has specified (free issue items). The Contractor shall conduct the installation, inspection and testing of the works within the limitations of the existing plant, maintenance work performed by others, access restrictions to services such as crane usage etc.
