Common use of Installment Assessments Clause in Contracts

Installment Assessments. If at the time of CLOSING the PREMISES are affected by an assessment which is or may become payable in annual installments, and the first installment is then a lien, or has been paid, then for the purposes of this Contract all the unpaid installments shall be considered due and are to be paid by SELLER at CLOSING, unless the assessment is part of the State, County, Town taxes and/or Village taxes (if applicable) in which event same shall be adjusted in accordance with Paragraph 21 herein.
