Instruction During Preparation Period. The Building Principal may request teachers under their supervision to cover instruction in another class during their preparation period. Such assignments shall be distributed among available staff equitably. When teachers perform this service for a period greater than 15 minutes, they shall be reimbursed at a minimum one (1) hour pay at their per diem rate. Should elementary teachers distribute students across their classrooms; the staff involved in the coverage will divide the sub pay that would normally have been used to secure a sub.
