Instructional Units. Instructional units shall be computed as follows: 5.2.3.1 One credit hour shall equal 1.00 instructional unit; provided, that one contact hour of laboratory instruction per week shall equal 0.75 instructional unit; 5.2.3.2 When rules and regulations of state and other agencies dictate basic teaching loads, instructional faculty teaching loads will be assigned accordingly.

The faculty member meets or exceeds the degree requirement for teaching in the discipline, consistent with WAC ▇▇▇-▇▇-▇▇▇ through WAC 131-16- 091, or b. The faculty member has significant prior teaching experience in one or more fields taught within the instructional unit and has taught representative courses in the additional unit within the last three (3) academic years, or c. The faculty member has sufficient relevant work experience in the unit to qualify for vocational certification as outlined in WAC 13116-091. 2. Review, second unit requests, and change requests will take place as follows: a. When contract negotiations for this agreement conclude and the contract is approved by both parties, the list of instructional units, unit assignments, and assignment criteria will be distributed to faculty no later than 15 contract days after approval by both parties. b. Instructional Units. For the purpose of this Article, "instructional unit" shall mean an organizational unit of each College for instructional and other educational purposes. If any College changes its instructional units, it shall provide the President of the Federation with at least fifteen (15) days notice of any such intended change.

Related to Instructional Units

  • INSTRUCTIONAL MINUTES a) When CONTRACTOR is an NPS, the total number of instructional minutes per school day provided by CONTRACTOR shall be at least equivalent to the number of instructional minutes per school day provided to LEA students at like grade level, attending LEA schools, unless otherwise specified in the student’s IEP/IFSP, and shall be specified in the LEA student’s ISA developed in accordance with the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP. b) For NPS students in grades pre-kindergarten through 12, unless otherwise specified in the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP, the number of instructional minutes, excluding recess, lunch, and passing time, shall be at least the minimum as specified in Education Code Sections 46110-46147, and in no case will be less than the amount as specified in the IEP/IFSP. In addition, the total number of annual instructional minutes shall be at least equivalent to the total number of annual instructional minutes provided to LEA students attending LEA schools in like grade level unless otherwise specified in the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP. c) When CONTRACTOR is a NPA and/or related services provider, the total number of minutes per school day provided by CONTRACTOR shall be specified in the LEA student’s ISA developed in accordance with the LEA student’s IEP/IFSP.

  • Instructional Materials A. The Board recognizes that appropriate texts, library reference facilities, maps and globes, laboratory equipment, audio-visual equipment, art supplies, athletic equipment, current periodicals, standard tests and questionnaires, computers, and similar materials are the tools of the teaching profession. B. Efforts shall be continued to seek and use instructional materials which reflect the contribution and presence of diverse ethnic and cultural groups. C. 1. Selection of instructional materials for each school shall be made by a committee of teachers chosen by the faculty within that school.

  • Instructions (a) The data importer shall process the personal data only on documented instructions from the data exporter. The data exporter may give such instructions throughout the duration of the contract. (b) The data importer shall immediately inform the data exporter if it is unable to follow those instructions.

  • Special Instructions As used herein, the term "Special Instructions" shall mean Proper Instructions countersigned or confirmed in writing by the Treasurer or any Deputy or Assistant Treasurer of the applicable Fund or any other person designated by the Treasurer of such Fund in writing, which countersignature or confirmation shall be (i) included on the same instrument containing the Proper Instructions or on a separate instrument relating thereto, and (ii) delivered by hand, by facsimile transmission, or in such other manner as the applicable Fund and the Custodian agree in writing.

  • Instruction 4.1 The Data Processor may only act and process the Personal Data in accordance with the documented instruction from the Data Controller (the “Instruction”), unless required by law to act without such instruction. The Instruction at the time of entering into this Data Processor Agreement (DPA) is that the Data Processor may only process the Personal Data with the purpose of delivering the Main Services as described in the Main Service Level Agreement. Subject to the terms of this DPA and with mutual agreement of the parties, the Data Controller may issue additional written instructions consistent with the terms of this Agreement. The Data Controller is responsible for ensuring that all individuals who provide written instructions are authorised to do so. 4.2 The Data Controller guarantees to process Personal Data in accordance with the requirements of Data Protection Laws and Regulations. The Data Controller’s instructions for the processing of Personal Data shall comply with Applicable Law. The Data Controller will have sole responsibility for the accuracy, quality, and legality of Personal Data and the means by which it was obtained. 4.3 The Data Processor will inform the Data Controller of any instruction that it deems to be in violation of Applicable Law and will not execute the instructions until they have been confirmed or modified.
