INTENT & PURPOSE. 1.1 The purpose of this Agreement is to establish an orderly collective bargaining relationship between the Employer and the Union with respect to the bargaining unit as defined herein, to secure the prompt and equitable disposition of grievances and to promote the efficient operation of the Employer’s business. This Agreement shall be regarded as a complete and specific statement of the relationship between the Employer and the Union. 1.2 For the sake of simplicity, where the masculine term is used throughout this Agreement, it is understood to include both male and female genders. 1.3 It is agreed that neither party to this Agreement will enter into any agreement or contract with employees which conflicts with the terms and provisions of this Agreement.
