Telenet has implemented the BGP4 protocol for the IP space to ensure that the “shortest route” is used to route traffic to users, even if one of the connections to the internet is not available. The three datacenters are interconnected through redundant fibers (Type 7, completely redundant with fully separated routing). Telenet has peering and transit agreements with several national and international internet providers. The total available bandwidth to the internet exceeds 3 GBit/s.
