Interpretations in Writing. 18.16.1 Any and all interpretations of Contract Documents must be in writing to be valid. 18.16.2 This provision is not intended to prohibit or deny normal discussion, recommendations, explanations, suggestions, approvals, rejections, and similar activity in pursuit of the Work at the Project on an oral basis, such as at job conferences at the Project Site. In such instances, the written minutes, correspondence, Shop Drawing records, and other written data shall govern over personal claims regarding oral statements made contrary to the written data.
