Interpretive Signage. The Recipient and a qualified professional, using research, design and fabrication consultants as appropriate, shall produce one or more signs to describe the work on a property, its history and historic context, and its resources. Local interested entities shall be consulted in the planning and design of the sign(s), and addressing maintenance and long-term care of permanent sign(s). Content shall be edited and approved by SHPO.
Interpretive Signage. 1. Using the information obtained from the documentation in Stipulation II.A.3, as well as any additional research conducted at the repositories described under Stipulation II.A.4, MDTA shall mount interpretive signage in public locations adjacent to and/or on the new Nice Bridge. Signage would mainly be located along the bicycle/pedestrian lane, mounted at regular intervals on the bridge, as well as at the bridge approaches. MDTA would be responsible for the installation and maintenance of the signage. In consultation with the MD SHPO, VA SHPO, and other consulting parties, MDTA shall carefully evaluate public interpretation options and select those that are reasonable, have a good opportunity to reach a broad range of the public, and correlate with other aspects of the Project, such as the bicycle/pedestrian lane. 2. The interpretive signage shall provide such information as a brief history of the Nice Bridge and Administration Building, the reasons for the bridge’s replacement, the bridge’s engineering features and characteristics, the role the bridge played in the development of the area, and the historic properties surrounding it. 3. The interpretive signage shall include historic and contemporary mounted photographs of the Nice Bridge and Administration Building, accompanied by relevant narrative, plans, and maps. 4. Draft products such as signage text, scanned copies of photographs and maps, and layout and design shall be reviewed per Stipulation I.D. 5. The signs shall be erected within one year of completion of construction of the undertaking.
Interpretive Signage. (a) The Historical Society will review its collection to determine if it has information relevant to the history of the Great Northern Railroad and the importance the railroad played in the development and history of the City of Kalispell and surrounding region. (b) If available, the Historical Society will provide the information identified in Stipulation III.A.1 (a) to the City for the City’s use, at its discretion, in developing narrative and/or pictorial content for the interpretive signage (see Stipulation III.A.3). (c) The City will develop narrative and pictorial content for and install interpretive signage at the following locations along the Kalispell Trail (see Attachment A for a map of the proposed signage locations): i. South of milepost 1225.19 and at the north end of the bridge crossing Highway 93. This sign will mark the trailhead and provide an introduction to the Kalispell Trail, including a history of when rail service first came to the Kalispell area in the late 1880s and an explanation of when and why a new rail route 11 years later resulted in moving service to a spur line. ii. Flathead Electric Coop Substation, located roughly at the northwestern edge of Woodland Park. This sign will highlight the contributions of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Family as a founding family of the Kalispell community. iii. Depot Park. This sign will highlight the history of the extant former Great Northern Railway Depot. iv. Former location of the Flathead Lake Cherry Growers Association Warehouse, located at ▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇. This sign will highlight the important role of the railroad in shipping sweet cherries and the historic importance of this agricultural product in the regional economy, with the railroad, beginning in 1910, advertising the area for settlement based on its potential for growing fruit in the temperate climate and Flathead County becoming the fourth largest sweet cherry producing region in the country by the 1940s. v. Grain Elevators located at ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇. This sign will highlight the history of the extant structures and the historic importance of agriculture in the regional economy. vi. Roughly at Meridian Street north of West Center Street and south of Appleway. This sign will highlight the history of the timber industry as well as the mill and log pond formerly located in this area. Interpretive Signage. One (1) interpretive signage panel will be developed in consultation with the DC 2 SHPO and installed on the east terrace of the NASM to provide the public with information about the 3 history of the NASM and the restaurant addition, possibly including supplemental web-based resource 4 material. The permanent location and all other details relating to the interpretive signage will be 5 identified and developed in accordance with Stipulation 2 of this PA. 6 7 2. BEZOS LEARNING CENTER FUTURE CONSULTATION 9 A. Bezos Learning Center Program: The BLC will be a nexus where creativity, problem-solving, and 11 positioning on the National Mall offers. The BLC will house and present programs focused on the work 12 of NASM and efforts that uniquely bring together resources and expertise from across the Smithsonian. 13 Two of the primary program initiatives funded by the Bezos gift are the Bezos Empowering Educators 14 Program (establishment of a national network of K-3 grade classroom educators working with NASM 15 Museum educators) and the Bezos Science and Technology Innovation Challenges (middle/high school 16 age learners are teamed to engage in future oriented problem solving rooted in the work of NASM and 17 Smithsonian overall). 18
Interpretive Signage. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center will incorporate permanent outdoor interpretive signage into the design and construction of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center Expansion Project through the following steps: a. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center shall develop and implement permanent outdoor interpretive signage to be installed on the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center grounds. The interpretive signage will include 1 sign or interpretive display to be placed at a location that is convenient, safe, and accessible for public viewing somewhere on the site of the new pavilions or in some other suitable location around the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center complex. The sign will broadly address the history of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center and the architectural significance of the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇ building and be illustrated with a select number of important historic images. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center will submit project documents and drawings detailing the design, content, and placement of the signage at the 45 percent design development stage to the Signatories for review and consultation. The Signatories will provide written comments within 45 calendar days of receipt. If the Signatories do not provide comments on the proposed signage within 45 calendar days of receipt, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center may move forward with the plans as proposed. The DCSHPO must approve final design, content, and placement of the signage. The ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center shall install the approved interpretive signage within 1 year following the completion of the construction of the Expansion Project, or sooner. b. Prior to the onset of construction of the Expansion Project, the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Center shall provide funding not to exceed $10,000 to NPS for the development and implementation of permanent outdoor interpretive signage for installation along the Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway in the vicinity of the Project Area. The interpretive signage will include 1 sign or interpretive display to be placed at a location that is convenient, safe, and accessible for public viewing. The sign will broadly address the history of the Rock Creek and Potomac Parkway and its significance as a historic connection between the presidential memorials. The signage will be developed in consultation with the Signatories and in accordance with NPS design standards for permanent outdoor signage. The NPS shall install the interpretive signage within 1 year following the completion of the construction of the Expansion Project, or sooner. DESIGN CONSULTATION
Interpretive Signage. SpaceX will fund the development and production of five (5) interpretive signs (in English and Spanish) that describe the history and significance of the historic properties in the APEs, including the Pilings Camp Site. These signs will educate visitors and the general public on the importance of cultural resources, the need to stay within defined access areas, and the legal implications of vandalism and artifact collecting. A qualified historian will develop the content of the signs and may include information obtained in Stipulation III.a.ii. NPS and USFWS will collaborate on the design and materials of the signs to be consistent with their existing signage. a) NPS will prepare the scope of work for the design and content of interpretive signage, a list of qualified contractors, and the basic materials and provide to SpaceX within 12 months of the date of this PA. b) SpaceX will provide the preliminary plans for the design and content of the signs to the Texas SHPO, NPS, TPWD, and USFWS for review and comment within 60 days of receipt of Stipulation III.a.iii.a). SpaceX may proceed with the production of the signs if the Texas SHPO does not provide comments within thirty (30) calendar days from receipt of the design plans. c) SpaceX will have the signs produced by a qualified contractor identified by NPS within one (1) year from the receipt of the scope of work from NPS. d) The locations for installing the interpretive signs will be determined in consultation with the Texas SHPO, NPS, TPWD, and USFWS within 12 months of the date of this PA. e) Within thirty (30) calendar days of installation, SpaceX will submit photo-documentation of the interpretive signs to the FAA. FAA will distribute the documentation to Texas SHPO, NPS, TPWD, and USFWS as evidence of fulfillment of this measure. Digital photographs submitted via e-mail is acceptable.
Interpretive Signage. The City of Kingsport, in coordination with the TN-SHPO and consulting parties will install three to six interpretive signs at the site of the Clinchfield Railroad Station. The interpretive signage would provide historic context for the Clinchfield Railroad, the Kingsport Station, and the affected concrete loading platform, providing details concerning the architect and architectural style of the station, the historic function of the architectural resources associated with the station, and how the Clinchfield Railroad Station contributed to the development of Kingsport as a center of regional industry.

SpaceX will have the signs produced by a qualified contractor identified by NPS during construction so that they can be installed immediately after construction is completed, and prior to operation, or within one (1) year from the receipt of the scope of work from NPS, should it be received after construction has been completed. 3. The locations for installing the interpretive signs will be determined in consultation with the Texas SHPO, NPS, and USFWS. 4. Within thirty (30) days of installation, photo-documentation of the interpretive signs will be submitted to the FAA and the Texas SHPO as evidence of fulfillment of this stipulation. Digital photographs submitted via e-mail will be acceptable.
Interpretive Signage. 1. The SEARHC shall submit draft language and graphics for the Interpretive Signs to OHA and other consulting parties no later than five (5) years after execution of the MOA. Consulting parties will provide review comments to the SEARHC within 30 days of receipt.
