Introduction of New Technology. The decision to introduce new technology is a management right and not subject to negotiation or the grievance procedure. However, the effects of implementing new technology is subject to bargaining with the Union. If, during the term of the Agreement, technical advancements lead to the introduction aboard vessels, terminals, Shore Gang facilities, or the information department, of computers, ticketing kiosks, or other technologies which perform functions currently performed by bargaining unit employees, the Employer agrees, if possible, to notify the Union six (6) months in advance of the implementation of new technology.
