Introductory material to conversational agents. A VCoP usually contains a repository of resources that are useful for the community, even if they are not created by regular community members (rather, they are created and maintained by community administrators). In our case, as the community seeks to promote a novel use of technology for education, we believed providing a set of introductory resources would be engaging. In this sense, the VCoP platform contains a set of pages, only editable by administrators, with the following: • A link to the project website, to learn more about the ColMOOC project. • A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page covering the basics to understand why Conversational Agents can have an impact in education, and to learn the difference between the ColMOOC approach and others. • A collection of selected academic publications that are good at an introductory level, though obviously richer and more complex than the FAQ page. • A live demo page, that is explained in detail in the following section.
