This means isolation and a drop-out spool, from all sources of energy such as the main geofluid line into the plant and the well. Acceptable isolation methods are double block and bleed or an isolation valve with a dropout spoolworking fluid storage. Drop out spools must be accessible from ground level or a working platform. Working fluid power process pumps, fire pumps, and brine pumps shall have upstream and downstream isolation valves so that the entire system does not have to be drained in order to effect their removal for maintenance.
