Common use of ITEMS NOT COVERED Clause in Contracts

ITEMS NOT COVERED. Repair and exchange Services do not cover: a. accessories, supply items, consumables (such as batteries and printer cartridges), and structural parts (such as frames and covers); b. Machine Components damaged by misuse, accident, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment, or improper maintenance by Customer or a third party; c. Machine Components with removed or altered Machine Component or parts identification labels; d. failures caused by a product for which IBM is not responsible; e. service of Machine Component alterations; or f. service of a Machine Component on which Customer is using capacity or capability, other than that authorized by IBM in writing.
