Common use of Joint Research Projects Clause in Contracts

Joint Research Projects. For the joint research projects the cooperation will be conducted as follows: 2.1 The Parties shall promote scientific collaboration in the following research areas: 2.2 Both Parties will support up to three (3) joint research projects implemented on specific subjects, as stated in Article 2, point 2.1. with the participation of scientists from each Party. 2.3 The call for proposals of joint research projects will be announced simultaneously by the Parties in April every three (3) years. The first call for proposals will be announced in April 3, 2023 with a deadline of May 31, 2023. The selected joint research projects will be in place for a duration of three (3) years. 2.4 The joint research projects will be expected to start on January 1, 2024 2.5 Both parties will also: a) gather all the applications from their respective sides, b) review them separately, and c) exchange prioritized lists by the mid of September. d) jointly select the joint research projects to be funded on the basis of financial availability and the provisions of the Scientific Cooperation Agreement. e) finance its own team of researchers. 2.6 The list of joint research projects mutually approved will be made public once available.
