Laboratory Accreditation. The Laboratory must meet, at a minimum, the requirements of ASTM D3666, D3740, and C1077 (to include test procedure C78 and other ASTM Standards that may provide a summative of referenced standards for use and applications), including the requirement of accreditation by a national authority. Examples of national authorities are: National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (AALA), AASHTO Accreditation Program, AASHTO Materials Testing Laboratory, and Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL). Additionally, Consultant must show compliance with TxDOT requirements, specifically TxDOT Specification 340, and possess related certifications that are recognized and valid from such national organization as American Concrete Institute, National Ready Mixed Concrete Association and other organizations that participate to improve the quality of concrete construction, including Consultant Key Personnel holding TxDOT HMAC Level 1-A or 1-B certifications.
