Language and Format. 61.2.1. CONTRACTOR shall provide all written materials for potential clients and clients in a font size no smaller than 12 point. (42 C.F.R. § 438.10(d)(6)(ii).) 61.2.2. CONTRACTOR shall ensure its written materials that are critical to obtaining services are available in alternative formats, upon request of the client or potential client at no cost. 61.2.3. CONTRACTOR shall make its written materials that are critical to obtaining services, including, at a minimum, provider directories, beneficiary handbook, appeal and grievance notices, denial and termination notices, and the CONTRACTOR’s SUD health education materials, available in the prevalent non- English languages in the COUNTY. (42 C.F.R. § 438.10(d)(3).) 61.2.4. CONTRACTOR shall notify clients, prospective clients, and members of the public that written translation is available in prevalent languages free of cost and how to access those materials. (42 C.F.R. § 438.10(d)(5)(i), (iii); Welfare & Institutions Code § 14727(a)(1); California Code of Regulations. tit. 9 § 1810.410, subd. (e), para. (4)) 2.5. CONTRACTOR shall make auxiliary aids and services available upon request and free of charge to each client. (42 C.F.R. § 438.10(d)(3)- (4).)
