Common use of Language Assistance Program Clause in Contracts

Language Assistance Program. Anthem maintains a language assistance program that ensures limited English proficient ("LEP") Covered Individuals have access to language assistance when accessing health care services. When language assistance is needed by a Covered Individual, Provider agrees to coordinate, cooperate and comply with Anthem's language assistance program as set forth in Anthem's Provider Operations Manual. Provider shall comply with language assistance standards developed pursuant to Health & Safety Code §1367.04.

When Provider shall cooperate and comply, as applicable, with Anthem’s language assistance is needed by a Covered Individualprogram, Provider agrees to coordinate, cooperate and comply with Anthem's language assistance program as set forth in Anthem's Provider Operations Manual. Provider ’s provider manual; however, Anthem shall comply with maintain ongoing administrative and financial responsibility for implementing and operating on an ongoing basis the language assistance standards developed pursuant to Health & Safety Code §1367.04program for Covered Individuals. The foregoing requirement is effective as of January 1, 2009.
