Language Diversity. 15 14.2.1 CONTRACTOR shall employ or subcontract staff with 16 experience in placing CLIENTs with a limited English vocabulary in an 17 environment that facilitates the development of the English language. 18 CONTRACTOR’s staff shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand 19 English. CONTRACTOR shall provide bilingual staff to serve CLIENTs in the 20 language they speak. The ratio of bilingual staff shall be consistent with and 21 proportional to the target population, as determined by ADMINISTRATOR. In 22 addition, CONTRACTOR shall be required to provide translation services for all 23 other languages as needed to ensure all participants are provided services in 24 the language they speak. 25 14.2.2 CONTRACTOR shall comply with all COUNTY, State, and 26 Federal regulations regarding Limited English Proficiency (LEP). LEP 27 regulations affect anyone who participates in a Federally funded program, and 28 who has English as his or her second language and is limited in his or her 1 English language proficiency.

  • Diversity The Employer and the Union recognize the values of diversity in the workplace and will work cooperatively toward achieving a work environment that reflects the interests of a diverse work force.

  • CULTURAL DIVERSITY The Cultural Diversity Requirement generally does not add units to a student's program. Rather, it is intended to be fulfilled by choosing courses from the approved list that also satisfy requirements in other areas of the student’s program; the exception is that Cultural Diversity courses may not satisfy Culture and Language Requirements for B.S. students. For example, COMM 6 – Intercultural Communication, can fulfill (3) units of the Behavioral Science requirement and (3) units of the Cultural Diversity requirement. This double counting of a class may only be done with the Cultural Diversity requirement. Courses in Cultural Diversity may be taken at the lower- division or upper-division level.

  • Supplier Diversity Seller shall comply with ▇▇▇▇▇’s Supplier Diversity Program in accordance with Appendix V.

  • Equality and Diversity 33.2.1 The Supplier shall: (a) perform its obligations under this Framework Agreement (including those in relation to the provision of the Goods and/or Services) in accordance with: (i) all applicable equality Law (whether in relation to race, sex, gender reassignment, religion or belief, disability, sexual orientation, pregnancy, maternity, age or otherwise); and (ii) any other requirements and instructions which the Authority reasonably imposes in connection with any equality obligations imposed on the Authority at any time under applicable equality Law; (b) take all necessary steps, and inform the Authority of the steps taken, to prevent unlawful discrimination designated as such by any court or tribunal, or the Equality and Human Rights Commission or (any successor organisation).

  • Anti-slavery and human trafficking The Supplier shall: ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of its business or in any part of its supply chain; implement due diligence procedures for its own suppliers, subcontractors and other participants in its supply chains, to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its supply chains; respond promptly to all slavery and human trafficking due diligence questionnaires issued to it by the British Council from time to time and ensure that its responses to all such questionnaires are complete and accurate; and notify the British Council as soon as it becomes aware of any actual or suspected slavery or human trafficking in any part of its business or in a supply chain which has a connection with this Agreement. If the Supplier fails to comply with any of its obligations under clause 13.1, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies which the British Council may have, the British Council shall be entitled to: terminate this Agreement without liability to the Supplier immediately on giving notice to the Supplier; and/or reduce, withhold or claim a repayment (in full or in part) of the charges payable under this Agreement; and/or share with third parties information about such non-compliance.
