Common use of Lawful Operation Clause in Contracts

Lawful Operation. The Mortgagor covenants and agrees to comply with all the laws of the United States of America and/or any subdivision thereof where the Vessel may be, pertaining to its operation. The Mortgagor will not use or permit the Vessel to be used for any illegal purposes. Mortgagee does not authorize or consent to any act, failure or omission on the part of the Mortgagor or any other person which would permit or give rise to the risk of forfeiture of the Vessel for a violation of any law of the United States or any other governmental authority.
