Layoff and Recall List. (a) Layoff and recall shall be based on seniority, that is, the last hired shall be the first laid off and the last laid off shall be the first recalled provided they have the ability and training to perform the work that is available, and that licensing standards can be maintained. (b) Any regular employee who has completed less than three years employment shall receive two weeks' notice or two weeks' pay in lieu of notice. After the completion of a period of employment of three consecutive years, one additional weeks' notice, as far as the resources of the Centre permit, shall be added for each subsequent completed year to a maximum of eight weeks' notice or pay in lieu of notice, as far as the resources of the Centre permit. (c) Any regular employee who has chosen layoff as per Clause 4.15(b) shall have the right to decline a recall to work at reduced hours without loss of seniority.
