LAYOFF, BUMPING AND RECALL. (1) General I. Employees who have passed their probationary period as set out in Article 1.01 (r) and who are under notice of layoff or displacement, shall exercise their rights in accordance with this article. II. In order to bump into another position, an employee must be qualified and able to perform the work required. III. In order to bump into a permanent position, the employee must be senior to the employee who owns that permanent position. In order to bump into a temporary position, the employee must be senior to the employee working in the temporary position. IV. For the purposes of this article, permanent employees shall be considered senior to temporary employees. Permanent employees who bump into temporary positions shall maintain their permanent status. V. For Purposes of this Article, Regions shall be defined as follows:
